There's something sentimental about a baby's first haircut. It may be a longing to keep those first hairs that ever graced his head, or the realization that he is growing up and the days of "sweet baby" are quickly turning into "rambunctious toddler". Whatever the reason, I don't think a mother is ever ready for this day. It came far too quickly, But we did it. Christian had his very first haircut.
Looking at these pictures, you may be thinking to yourself, "why would a bald baby need a haircut?" The answer is that Christian is NOT bald (anymore) and his hair actually resembles that of an old man - white (in his case blond white, not gray white) and it sticks straight out on the sides. Our baby is growing up fast enough as it is, we don't need him turning into an old man already. Hence, the need for a little trim.
