Christmas with Christian

Our first Christmas with Christian was a success! We had so much fun with him. The day was filled with giving and receiving gifts, eating lots of delicious food, and visiting with family. Our festivities started early because we had a lot to pack into one day, but mostly because Mark and I were so excited...we tried to wait until Christian woke on his own, but apparently he didn't share our enthusiasm so we had to wake him instead.
Can you spot Christian?
So thrilled to be getting clothes
We felt so grateful to be able to attend church on Christmas day. I can't think of a better place to celebrate. Christian even slept through the meeting, giving us a chance to listen. It was a Christmas miracle! But even more than that, it gave me a chance to be still with him for a few minutes and really reflect on the blessing that it is to be his mother.
All ready for church
We spent the rest of the day with my family and once again received some really nice things that we are already putting to good use.
There were so many fun things about Christmas this year, but we never want to forget the true meaning of the season. We are so grateful for the babe born in Bethlehem, who is our Savior and Redeemer. He is the reason for our celebration. Because of Him, we can enjoy the feelings of love, peace, and joy with our families not just during Christmas time, but for eternity.
