A Very Merry Month

One of the things I love about December is that it is fun and festivities all month long. Our December this year with Christian has been magical, and merry. We have been in love with all of the things he is learning and loving about the holidays.

Some of his favorite ways to celebrate Christmas this year were:

Visiting the big reindeer decorations at the mall
Visiting Santa, but only for a high-five and a sucker
Singing Christmas songs (over and over and over)
Playing with the select decorations he was allowed at grandparents' houses
Watching Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
and of course, opening presents, which seemed to last all month too

We started the season off right with our ward Christmas party. It was a journey to Bethlehem, and was done very well. Although I wasn't thrilled about finding and wearing Bethlehem clothing, I was glad for the reminder of the reason for the season when it was all said and done. (Plus I couldn't get enough of our little shepherd).
We spent Christmas Eve day with Mark's parents, where we were all spoiled rotten. Christian was in his high heaven with so many new toys to discover. We were in our high heaven with a new laptop which we have already put to good use (blogging, watching Prison Break, etc.)
For Christmas Eve we went to my grandparents in Salt Lake, where Christian starred in his very first Nativity Production. He performed beautifully in is role as a sheep, and let's be honest, the show would not have gone on without such cute little lambs! I was one proud mama.
Christmas morning brought gifts from Santa, the only hard part was that Christian would get distracted with one gift and be totally uninterested in opening the next.
His very favorite may have been the m&m candy cane, which he wasn't even interested in eating, just shaking.
After our own little Christmas, we headed over to my parents' house for delicious food, and more gifts. Once again, we were spoiled rotten.
Our Christmas was cozy, and relaxing, and it was perfect. Just the way Christmas should be. We had so much fun with family and feel so thankful for our many blessings...
 We have so many.
Merry Christmas!
