Doin' the Spring Thing

Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. Springtime means sunshine, sandals, and playing outside (or "outs" as C would say). For Christian, Spring has been filled with adventure, discovery, and excitement. It's been so much fun to watch him as he learns so much by touching, feeling, hearing, and seeing (oh, and we can't forget, eating.)

 It's amazing how much more time we have spent in the great outdoors now that we have an active toddler who could live out there if we'd let him. But thank goodness for Christian, because without his gentle prodding (or whining, as some may call it) we may have missed such a beautiful season.

We have loved seeing Christian's curiosity and fascination with even the simplest things. As parents, it is thrilling to show him new things, and watch as they click for him. 

 But we're also a little nervous at how fast things click, and how quickly he picks up on things...he thinks he's bigger than he actually is...

 ...especially with his new big kid toys.
Spring is such a happy time. I am thankful for the newness of spring and the opportunity to enjoy it with such a happy guy.
